Khaleda, the BNP chairperson, made the decision following a meeting with the party's Chittagong unit leadership, Giasuddin Quader Choudhury, president of BNP North Chittagong unit, told bdnews24.com on Sunday.
The programme, originally planned for Oct 28, was rescheduled following requests from local leaders.
They asked her to reschedule the march since many of them would be going to Saudi Arabia to attend the Hajj.
BNP Chittagong metropolitan unit president Anir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury will be leaving on Monday evening.
Amir, Gaisuddin and Chittagong North unit president Jafar-ul Islam Choudhury attended the meeting. BNP's acting secretary-general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was also present.
